Grand Alliance Promises Government Job for Every Family, ₹1,500 Pension in Bihar Poll Manifesto
RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, declared CM face, unveils manifesto pledging jobs, free electricity, and financial aid for women; slams NDA for “lack of vision” and failure to announce its CM candidate or manifesto.
Days after declaring RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav as its CM face for the Bihar assembly elections, the Grand Alliance today released its manifesto promising government jobs to one member of every family in Bihar and also assured to increase the old age pension to Rs 1,500 per month.
RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, Congress leaders Akhilesh Singh and Pawan Khera, CPI(ML) leader Deepankar Bhattacharya, VIP leader Mukesh Sahni and CPI leader Ram Naresh Pandey besides other leaders jointly released the manifesto, and targeted the NDA for neither releasing its manifesto nor declaring its CM face for the Bihar elections.
Tejashwi Yadav, who was declared CM face of the Grand Alliance on October 23, told media persons after releasing the manifesto, that the Alliance would provide government jobs to one member of every family in Bihar, if voted to power.
Soon after being voted to power, an act would be enforced to provide government jobs to one member of every family, he said.
The process of giving jobs would begin within 20 months after coming to power, he added.
"All eligible women would be given financial assistance of Rs 2,500 each for the next five years under the Mai Bahin Yojna," the RJD leader said, adding that all Jeevika Community Mobilisers would be declared government employee and they would be given a salary of Rs 30,000 per month.
Jeevika Didis would be given interest free loans for two years for launching their own ventures, he added.
Yadav said that widows and elderly persons would be given monthly pension of Rs 1,500 while physically challenged persons would be given monthly pension of Rs 300.
Free electricity of 200 units would be given to every household, he added.
Attacking the NDA, he said: "NDA has neither declared its CM face nor released its manifesto so far", adding that NDA leaders were engaged in only negative campaign.
"They had no vision to place before the people on how to develop Bihar in the days ahead," he claimed.
