Hardeep Singh Mundian Terms Kejriwal Acquittal ‘Historic Day for Democracy’
Welcoming the court’s decision clearing Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, Mundian calls the case politically motivated and says verdict reaffirms faith in justice.
Welcoming the Delhi court’s decision acquitting Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia in the alleged liquor scam case, Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian launched a sharp attack on the opposition. Mundian said that today is a historic day for democracy, as the court’s verdict has proved that the entire case fabricated against the Aam Aadmi Party was driven solely by political vendetta and was nothing but a “blatant lie.”
Taking the opposition to task, Mundian said that those who until yesterday were sitting on television panels mocking AAP’s “staunch honesty” should now apologise to the nation. He made it clear that Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia had initiated an education revolution to transform the future of Delhi’s children, and to stop that work they were kept behind bars for months. In a pointed remark, he said, “Truth may be delayed, but it cannot be defeated,” and added that this verdict has delivered a resounding slap to the BJP leaders.
Expressing deep faith and gratitude over this major legal victory, Hardeep Singh Mundian thanked the Almighty Guru Sahib. Becoming emotional, he said, “I offer my countless thanks to Guru Sahib, by whose grace truth has prevailed today. Guru Sahib has always given us the courage to fight against injustice and falsehood, and with His blessings, the innocent leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party have received justice. This victory is not just ours, but the victory of the prayers and faith of crores of people across the country.”
