India’s Knowledge Tradition a Pillar of Nation Building, Says MP Minister Inder Singh Parmar

Higher Education Minister inaugurates State-Level NSS leadership camp in Chitrakoot; reviews educational development and skill courses at Gramodaya University

Chitrakoot (Satna):Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar on Sunday underlined the importance of India’s traditional knowledge system, saying the country’s civilizational strength rests on its long-standing heritage of knowledge, skills and life values.

Addressing the inaugural session of the State-Level Leadership Training Camp and Conference of the National Service Scheme (NSS) in Chitrakoot, Parmar said the qualities, abilities and spirit of service deeply rooted in Indian society remain powerful forces for nation building.

The programme was organised in Chitrakoot, where the minister formally inaugurated the event and was accorded a warm welcome by organisers and participants.

Earlier in the day, at the Arogya Dham Guest House, Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya, Prof. Alok Chaubey, felicitated the minister on behalf of the university.

Those present on the occasion included State NSS Officer Manoj Agnihotri, Additional Director of Higher Education Dr. R. P. Singh, Officer on Special Duty Dr. Bharat Vyas, Registrar Prof. Anjaneya Pandey, Nagar Panchayat Chairperson Sadhana Patel, social worker Vinita Jaiswal, Arogya Dham General Manager Dr. Anil Jaiswal, Secretary of Deendayal Research Institute Aparajit Shukla, Assistant Registrar Neelkamal Kumawat, the Vice-Chancellor’s Personal Assistant Sanjay Kumar Tripathi, Dr. Ashwini Awasthi, Nikhil Mishra and several other distinguished guests.

During his visit, Parmar also reviewed the status of educational development in the Chitrakoot region and issued necessary directions to maintain the quality of education. He further sought detailed information on the skill development courses being conducted by Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya.
