Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara on Friday said multiple police teams have been deployed to apprehend the culprits involved in the murder of Suhas Shetty in Mangaluru, and assured that the government would not compromise in bringing the perpetrators to justice.

Addressing mediapersons here, Dr Parameshwara said, "We have taken serious note of the murder incident that occurred in Mangaluru city yesterday. Two to four police teams have already been formed to trace and arrest those responsible. We will not spare anyone. The culprits will be brought to book."

Describing the incident as unfortunate, the Home Minister said the government has consistently worked to maintain peace and communal harmony, especially in the Dakshina Kannada region. "Incidents like this should not be allowed to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere. That is why we have responded swiftly and seriously," he added.

Dr Parameshwara informed that the Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) has already visited the city and additional forces have been deployed to ensure law and order is maintained.

Rejecting allegations of government inaction, the Minister said, "This is not a failure on our part. We have maintained peace across the state. Allegations that the government or a political party is involved are baseless. We have a responsibility as a government, and we will fulfil it."

He reiterated that the investigation would proceed firmly and impartially to ensure justice is delivered and peace is preserved.
