Marwah highlights the Significance Of Short Digital Films in India
Harendra Pratap, Joint Director in the Ministry of MSME and an expert in micro and short films, has said that the digital film sector offers numerous employment opportunities and the present era demands faster and more impactful mass communication activities.
According to him, the world of digital cinema has entered an age of micro and short films, opening up a new field of employment in India as well. Pratap shared these views during an exclusive interaction at the 125th Short Digital Films Festival of AAFT, held at Film City in Noida. Notably, he has directed more than 25 short digital films in the MSME domain.
The festival, organised last Tuesday at Marwah Studios, featured screenings of more than ten short digital films. The prominent presentations included Golden Gift, Caged and A Dream. Golden Gift stood out for its strong direction and performances, demonstrating how a short film can tell a powerful story.
The festival was inaugurated earlier by Sandeep Marwah, Ritu Shivpuri and Archana Saxena. During the opening ceremony, Marwah highlighted the growing significance of short digital films in India.
Other impactful films showcased were The Final Swipe, Tic Toc and An Old Man. Alongside films, the festival also featured music videos, including Devashree Ganesh, Farebi and Tu Mera Dil.
