Nitish Kumar Inaugurates Rs 1,105 Crore Elevated Road Section in PatnaChief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today inaugurated the elevated/atgrade section from Bhupatipur to Punpun (NH-22) constructed at a cost of Rs 1105 crore under the Mithapur-Mahuli-Punpun project from the program venue organized at Bhupatipur in Patna district by unveiling the plaque and cutting the ribbon. People will now be able to travel through the ramp built near Bhupatipur to go to the Sipara-Mahuli elevated path and the distance from Sipara to Mahuli will be covered in just 5 to 6 minutes.

After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the newly constructed elevated/atgrade section from Bhupatipur to Punpun. The Chief Minister stopped at Punpun and met the people present there and enquired about their well-being. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, the people said that you have done a lot of work for the development of this area. With the inauguration of this path, we will be able to travel to Patna in a very short time, all this has been possible because of you. Many schemes and programs have been run by you for the development of Punpun area. During this, the Chief Minister said that I have an old attachment with this area. I have got a chance to represent this area. We always keep coming to this area and get information about the problems here. We will keep doing whatever we can for you people and for the development of this area. Everyone should live together and move forward.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister said that the construction of this road will facilitate people to go to Gayaji, Jehanabad, Arwal, Aurangabad and Rajgir. Along with this, commuting to various districts of South Bihar will also become very easy now. This elevated road will be very useful in making Patna jam-free and making the traffic system of the city smooth. With the opening of this elevated road, lakhs of people living in the southern areas of the capital will get a lot of convenience in traffic and time will be saved in commuting.

The Chief Minister stopped near Sipara while returning. During this, the officials told the Chief Minister that the Mithapur-Mahuli elevated will be constructed from above the Sipara bridge and will meet the Mithapur flyover at the roundabout. The Chief Minister directed the officials to complete this remaining work in two months.

During the inspection, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Kumar Sinha, Water Resources cum Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mr. Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Road Construction Minister Mr. Nitin Naveen, MP Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Legislative Councilor Mr. Ravindra Prasad Singh, former MP Mr. Ramkripal Yadav, former Minister Mr. Shyam Rajak, former MLA Mr. Satish Kumar, former MLA Mr. Arun Manjhi, former General Secretary of State Citizens Council Mr. Arvind Kumar, former Member of Child Rights Protection Commission Mr. Shiv Shankar Nishad and other public representatives, Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Deepak Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of Road Construction Department Mr. Mihir Kumar Singh, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Kumar Ravi, Commissioner of Patna Division Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Chairman of Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Limited Mr. Shirshat Kapil Ashok, District Magistrate Dr. Tyagarajan S.M. and other senior officers were present.
