PM Modi Unveils Rs 1,06,000 Crore Development Blitz Ahead of Lok Sabha Polls

March 12:In a significant event on Tuesday, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for a plethora of developmental projects, totalling over Rs 1,06,000 crores, at the Dedicated Freight Corridor's Operation Control Centre in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The occasion marked a important step towards the government's steadfast commitment to national development, with a special focus on railways, infrastructure, connectivity, and petrochemicals.

The projects unveiled today span various sectors, showcasing the government's dedication to transforming the nation. Railway infrastructure, connectivity, and petrochemicals have received a major boost with the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony, underscoring the government's commitment to the creation of Viksit Bharat.

Addressing the gathered audience, Prime Minister Modi acknowledged the scale and size of the event, emphasizing that it stands unparalleled in the history of Indian Railways. He applauded the railway authorities for their role in making today's event possible and highlighted that the projects inaugurated or initiated in the first 75 days of 2024 alone amount to over Rs 11 lakh crores.

Significantly, the inauguration of these developmental projects comes ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, showcasing the government's proactive approach towards addressing the nation's needs and priorities.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the ongoing development works are integral to the vision of Viksit Bharat, with over Rs 7 lakh crores worth of projects unveiled in the last 10-12 days alone. He specifically mentioned the foundation stone laying of the Petrochemicals complex at Dahej, which is set to boost hydrogen production and enhance the demand for polypropylene in the country.

Referring to the foundation stone laying of Ekta Malls in Maharashtra and Gujarat, PM Modi emphasized how it will propel India's cottage industry and handicrafts to every corner of the country. This move aligns with the government's mission for "Vocal for Local" and further strengthens the foundations of Viksit Bharat.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the transformative changes in the railway sector, highlighting the government's willpower to overcome challenges. He outlined the substantial increase in the railway budget since 2014 and assured the countrymen that the next five years will witness a transformation in railways beyond their imagination.

Prime Minister Modi announced that most states now have Vande Bharat trains, and the century of Vande Bharat Trains has already been achieved. The Vande Bharat Network is now reaching 250 districts across the country, with routes being extended based on the people's wishes.

Addressing the youth of the nation, the Prime Minister reiterated that today's inaugurations are for their present and the foundation stones laid guarantee a bright future. He reassured the citizens that the government's commitment to railway development is unwavering, with the current decade's work being just a trailer for the extensive plans ahead.
