Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav Share a Laugh and Stress Unity Ahead of Bihar Polls
Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav Share a Light Moment While Emphasizing INDIA Bloc’s Unity Ahead of Bihar Elections
During a joint press conference in Araria, Bihar, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav shared a light-hearted moment while reaffirming the unity of the INDIA bloc ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
Tejashwi jokingly advised LJP leader Chirag Paswan to get married, calling him his “elder brother.” Rahul Gandhi quickly jumped in, saying the advice applies to him as well. Tejashwi then added with a smile that his father, Lalu Yadav, has been telling Rahul the same thing for a long time.
Shifting gears, Rahul Gandhi highlighted that all parties in the INDIA alliance were working together closely and would soon release a common manifesto for the Bihar polls. “All constituents are united ideologically and politically, and we expect good results,” he said.
Taking a swipe at the ruling NDA government, Gandhi accused the Election Commission of manipulating the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls to favor the BJP. “We won’t allow votes to be stolen in Bihar. The Election Commission is acting in BJP’s interest,” he claimed.
Earlier that day, both leaders participated in their ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra,’ riding a bullet bike through Purnia. Crowds gathered excitedly as the march entered Araria. The 1,300-km yatra started on August 17 in Sasaram and will cover over 20 districts before wrapping up with a rally in Patna on September 1.
