T3 Camp Organized for Anemia Awareness at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Residential School
Primary Health Center Sheikhpura conducts hemoglobin tests and provides iron supplements to adolescent girls under Anemia Mukt Bharat Program.
Primary Health Center Sheikhpura organized T3 (Test, Treat, Talk) Camp under Anemia Mukt Bharat Program at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Residential School, Sheikhpura. The objective of this camp was to increase awareness about the identification, treatment and prevention of anemia among adolescent girls.
During the camp, hemoglobin of a total of 85 adolescent girls was tested, which revealed the level of hemoglobin in their blood. During this, iron tablets were made available to the students and they were also informed about the importance of balanced diet. In particular, it was advised to consume iron-rich foods and fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C, so that iron can be absorbed better in the body.
On this occasion, doctors, pharmacists, other health workers and school teachers were present. They motivated the students to adopt a healthy lifestyle and increase awareness about nutrition.
