"Time for Nitish to Step Down": Upendra Kushwaha Calls for CM Succession on Son's 50th Birthday
Senior NDA leader advises handing over reins to Nishant Kumar, citing party and state interests;

Senior member of Rajya Sabha and former union minister,Upendra Kushwaha on Sunday advised the chief minister,Nitish Kumar to appoint his only son,Nishant Kumar who turned 5O today his successor.
Kushwaha who is a veteran leader of NDA said" it is in the larger interest of the state and JDU,Nitish should hand over the reins to Nishant without any further delay"
While congratulating Nitish on his 5O th birth day,Kushwaha said ' time and conditions demand Nitish should step down Delay will cause irreparable damage to the party".He was obviously referring to health issues.
The former union minister said he dared to advise CM for qutting as none of his partymen would even remotely suggest as many can not even approach Nitish
Nishant visited the historic Mahabir Mandir near Patna junction and offered Rudrabhusekam puja.He said his mother puja at the temple every year till 2007.
The then principal secretary to CM,RCP Sinha accompanied Nishant to the temple every year on his birth day and later his daughter and son in law visited the temple every year on Nishant's birth day.
