Water Resources Minister Reviews Implementation of CM’s Pragati Yatra Announcements
Vijay Kumar Chaudhary directs officials to expedite land acquisition and project execution for water resource schemes across Bihar.
Water Resources Minister Shri Vijay Kumar Chaudhary reviewed the departmental preparations on the schemes announced by Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar during the Pragati Yatra in various districts in a meeting held in the Irrigation Bhawan Auditorium on Monday. Senior officials of the departmental headquarters were present in the review meeting and the Chief Engineers of all the projects were connected through video conferencing.
In the meeting, the Water Resources Minister said that implementing all the announcements made by the Chief Minister in the Pragati Yatra soon is among the top priorities of the state government. Whatever announcements are related to the Water Resources Department, the senior officers themselves should regularly review the preparations being made for their implementation and get it completed promptly.
Shri Vijay Kumar Chaudhary said that if there is any problem regarding land acquisition in the implementation of any scheme, then the departmental officers should coordinate with the concerned Circle Officer and the District Administration and get it resolved quickly. Review whether the account, Khasra and alignment have been finalized for land acquisition or not.
The Water Resources Minister directed all Chief Engineers to work simultaneously on all activities related to the scheme. Complete all necessary actions from preparing the design, drawing and DPR related to the scheme to its implementation as soon as possible. He said that to ensure speedy completion of all works related to implementing the Chief Minister's announcement, prepare a checklist of those works and the Chief Engineer himself should regularly review the progress related to those works point-wise and should not show any negligence.
