India – For The World
Despite facing the brunt of Coronavirus pandemic, India didn't falter in its duty. The country followed its vision of "One Earth One Health" and provided medicines worth crores of rupees to various countries, saving lives at home and abroad. PM Modi talked about the Unified Payment Interface or UPI, which has had 4.4 billion transactions in just last month alone. Modi called UPI "the world's largest, safe and successful digital platform." Inviting attention to Indians' ability to adapt to the latest in the technology world, he offered "new energy", derived from the country's robust entrepreneurial spirit, to India's global partners. He said it was the best time to invest in the idea of India! He also talked of the start-up-spirit among young Indians, which made it possible for the country to be home to more than 60,000 start-up ventures, including 80 Unicorns.
India Grows On
Talking about his government's policies and crucial decisions taken in the past 7 years, the PM talked of the goals set for achievement in the next 25 years. These goals, he mentioned, aimed for higher economic growth, better social welfare and overall sustainability of environment. Exhorting the country's "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" spirit, which indicates that the world is one, PM Modi said, "Mission Life needs to become a global mass movement. We can also make a campaign of public participation like Life a big base of P-3 (Pro Planet People)." He condemned the "throw-away" culture and indiscriminate consumerism as being reasons for climate change. Therefore, he suggested lifestyle changes at a global level and rapid strides towards circular economy.
Make In India
He talked of India gaining major strides in fields like telecom, insurance, defense and aerospace as part of the idea of "Make in India, Make for the World." Though there were challenges inherent in bringing changes to the global order, PM Modi called for a "collective and synchronized action by every country as well as global agency." He insisted that the only way for the world to move on from the current state of insecurity is to work in a cohesive manner for the betterment of all. Photo-Social Media
