K. Kavitha Recalls Chaudhary Ajit Singh’s Sacrifice for Telangana

Hyderabad: BRS leader and MLC K. Kavitha on Tuesday paid tribute to former Union Minister Chaudhary Ajit Singh in the Telangana Assembly, acknowledging his selfless and historic contribution to the Telangana statehood movement.

Recalling the days of the Telangana agitation, Kavitha said that several leaders supported the movement without any personal or political gain, and Chaudhary Ajit Singh stood among the foremost of them.

She said : "During the Telangana movement, many people supported us with full dedication. It is a pity that, we could not give even one of them the respect and honour they truly deserved."

The leader emotionally narrated, "Please forgive me, but at this moment, I am unable to control my emotions."

She said, "You know that Ajit Singh (RLD) resigned from his position for the sake of Telangana, But after the formation of Telangana, was he even invited once and honoured with a shawl?"

"Similarly, Shibu Soren attended the meetings without any hesitation whenever he was called, but why was he ignored after the creation of Telangana?"

The leader pointed out that Mehbooba Mufti came here from Kashmir several times, but after Telangana was achieved, no one even felt the need to invite her back.
