Abhishek Sharma stays No.1 in ICC T20 rankings; Ishan Kishan rises to second

Abhishek Sharma retains the No.1 spot in the ICC T20 batting rankings with 875 points after the World Cup, while Ishan Kishan climbs to second following a strong tournament performance.

With the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup concluded, the International Cricket Council has released the latest rankings for batters, bowlers and all-rounders. India opener Abhishek Sharma continues to hold the top spot in the batting rankings with 875 rating points.

Abhishek retained his position after scoring a half-century against New Zealand in the World Cup final, ensuring he avoided any drop in the standings. Fellow Indian batter Ishan Kishan has climbed two places to second with 871 points, following an impressive campaign in which he scored 317 runs during the tournament.

Only four points now separate Abhishek and Kishan at the top of the list.

Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan has slipped one place to third with 848 points, while England’s Phil Salt has also dropped a spot and is now fourth with 792 points. Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka remains fifth with 766 points.

New Zealand opener Tim Seifert registered one of the notable gains, climbing four places to sixth with 749 points. India’s Tilak Varma dropped one spot to seventh with 742 points, while South Africa’s Dewald Brevis continues in eighth place with 738 points.

India captain Suryakumar Yadav has fallen two places to ninth with 722 points, while England’s Jos Buttler slipped one position to 10th with 716 points. England’s Jacob Bethell made a significant jump, rising 17 places to 16th with 668 points.

Rashid Khan returns to top among bowlers

In the bowling rankings, India’s Varun Chakravarthy has lost the No.1 position and dropped to second with 740 points. Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan has moved up to first with 753 points.

Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed remains third with 736 points, while England’s Adil Rashid has climbed one place to fourth with 721 points. South Africa’s Corbin Bosch slipped a position to fifth with 704 points.

India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah moved up to sixth with 702 points, while Australia’s Adam Zampa dropped to seventh with 682 points.

West Indies’ Matthew Forde is eighth with 667 points, Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman sits ninth with 665 points, and Afghanistan’s Mujeeb Ur Rahman completes the top 10 with 663 points.

India’s Axar Patel has also made progress, climbing six places to 17th with 639 points.

Raza leads all-rounders’ list

In the all-rounders’ rankings, Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza continues to lead the chart with 328 points. India’s Hardik Pandya is second with 299 points, while Pakistan’s Saim Ayub holds third place with 275 points.

New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner climbed three places to ninth with 201 points, while India’s Shivam Dube slipped two spots to 11th with 195 points in the latest update.
