Eden Gardens to Host Opening Test Against South Africa in November – Here's the Updated Schedule for India’s Home Season
BCCI has announced an updated schedule for the upcoming home season, with Eden Gardens set to host the first Test between India and South Africa in November.;

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Monday some changes to the venues and schedule for India’s upcoming home season. A major update is that the famous Eden Gardens in Kolkata will now host the first Test of the India-South Africa series in November 2025.
Originally slated to host the second Test between India and the West Indies in October, Eden Gardens will now stage the opening Test against South Africa, starting November 14. As a result, the second Test against West Indies has been shifted to the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, the BCCI confirmed in an official release.
Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium is undergoing a revamp of its pitches and outfield, prompting the BCCI to relocate the India vs Australia Women’s ODI series. The first two ODIs will now be held at the New PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh, while the third ODI moves to Delhi.
The India A vs South Africa A multi-day matches will be held at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The one-day matches between the two A sides, initially scheduled for Bengaluru, have been shifted to Rajkot’s Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
