New AstroTurf hockey ground inaugurated in Baijalpur, Haryana under NPCIL CSR initiative
Built at ₹7.5 crore by Gallant Sports, the facility aims to boost grassroots hockey training and nurture rural sporting talent.
A new AstroTurf hockey ground has come up in Baijalpur, Haryana, under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL). The ground, built by Gallant Sports is developed at a cost of ₹7.50 crore. It was inaugurated today by Member of Rajya Sabha, Dr. Subhash Barala. The facility brings much-needed sports infrastructure to a region with deep roots in hockey but limited access to modern training grounds.
The Baijalpur hockey ground will provide aspiring players in the area with a professional-quality facility for regular training, local competitions, and grassroots development. It is expected to encourage greater participation in the sport and strengthen the local hockey ecosystem.
