A high-risk rescue operation by US forces has drawn global attention after an American pilot stranded in a mountainous region of Iran was successfully retrieved following nearly 36 hours in hiding.

According to reports, the incident began when a US F-15 fighter jet crashed inside Iranian territory. In the aftermath, the pilot and another crew member were separated. While one was rescued early, the other remained trapped in difficult terrain under constant threat.

The stranded officer reportedly spent around 36 hours hiding in the mountains, frequently changing locations to avoid detection. With limited resources and Iranian security forces active in the area, the situation was described as extremely dangerous.

To carry out the rescue, the United States deployed its elite special operations unit, SEAL Team 6, along with support from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the US Air Force. The mission involved coordinated efforts across intelligence and military agencies.

Reports indicate that airstrikes were used to keep hostile forces at bay, while intelligence agencies employed diversion tactics to mislead opposition movements. Special Forces units then entered the region covertly to locate and extract the pilot.

In the final phase, commandos reached the mountainous location and successfully rescued the officer. Helicopters and fighter aircraft were reportedly deployed to secure the area and ensure a safe evacuation.

While details regarding the exact depth of the operation inside Iran remain unclear, the mission is being described as one of the most complex and daring rescue efforts in recent times.

Such operations are rare and highly sensitive, often requiring precise coordination between intelligence agencies and military units. The mission has drawn comparisons to previous high-profile operations involving SEAL Team 6, including the 2011 operation against Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.

The successful rescue underscores the challenges of conducting missions in hostile environments and highlights the level of planning and execution required for such operations.
