Special Report by Manjari on All India Litterateurs’ Conference

Datia, September 13 – September is celebrated across India and abroad as the month of Hindi, marked by Hindi Fortnight programmes, competitions and literary gatherings. Continuing this tradition, a two-day All India Litterateurs’ Conference was organised at the Blue Star Hotel in Datia, with former Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra as chief guest.

In his address, Dr. Mishra said, “A litterateur is the guide of society and always works to provide it with a new direction. That is why litterateurs hold a special place in society. It is also their responsibility to counter and eliminate the distortions emerging in society today.”

Delivering the keynote, Dr. Vikas Dave, Director of the Madhya Pradesh Sahitya Akademi, noted, “Across the country, only two or three incidents occur that harm our cultural atmosphere, while 99 percent of Indian families still function in accordance with family traditions and Indian culture. What we need is continuous family enlightenment.”


The programme was presided over by social worker Amit Agrawal, who said the conference allowed visitors to experience both “Datia Darshan and Sahitya Darshan.”

Five Sessions

First Session – Introduction: Eighty-eight litterateurs from across India introduced themselves.

Second Session – Inaugural Address: Noted writer and Geet Gagar editor Dr. Dinesh Prabhat was honoured with the “Bhasha Bhushan Samman – 2025.”

Special guest Harendra Pratap Singh, senior IEDS officer and Joint Director in the Ministry of MSME, highlighted cultural challenges facing Indian society.

Distinguished attendees included Sanjeev Sahu, Arvind Agrawal, Ajay Sharma, Sumit Rawat, Puneet Tilwani, Mahesh Gulbani, Ramesh Chandra Agrawal, Chandra Prakash Agrawal, Dr. Hemant Jain, Dr. Mukesh Rajput, Vinod Sharma, Ramesh Chandra Dwivedi and poet Maithilisharan Srivastava.

Third Session – Thematic Discussion: Dr. Vikas Dave delivered the keynote on “The Challenges of Breaking Families and Love Jihad,” with other speakers voicing concern over such conspiracies.

Fourth Session – Journey of Aditya Sanskriti: This session highlighted the magazine Aditya Sanskriti and honoured over 50 personalities with the “Smritishesh Dr. Annapurna Bhadauria Samman.”

Fifth Session – All India Kavi Sammelan: Poets from across the country were honoured in the names of various late poets of Datia.


Second Day Highlights

Under the coordination of Vinod Mishra, a Shobha Yatra of sacred texts was held. Participants, guided by Dinesh Srivastava, visited the world’s largest Navagraha Temple and other temples of Datia.

Programme convener Jagat Sharma thanked guests and litterateurs, while Aditya Sanskriti editor Bhanu Sharma announced that such events would continue as part of the Hindi Mahotsav.

Local poets including Dinesh Srivastava, Aditya Sharma, Ashutosh Mishra, Niranjan Shrotriya, Manoj Tiwari, Harihar Samadhiya, Dr. Lokendra Singh Nagar, Dr. R.P. Gupta, Vinod Mishra, Abhay Gupta and Avdhesh Yogi also presented their works.

The inaugural ceremony was conducted by Sardar Maninder Singh, Director of the Little Flower School group, Datia.
