Welcoming the court’s decision to acquit Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and all other accused in the excise policy case, Sunita Kejriwal said the verdict had reaffirmed faith in truth and justice after a politically motivated campaign to seize power in Delhi. Thanking the judge of Rouse Avenue Court for delivering a courageous judgment, she stated that the BJP had foisted false cases against a ‘kattar imaandaar’ Arvind Kejriwal solely to capture Delhi’s power.

Sunita Kejriwal asserted that Arvind Kejriwal has lived his entire life with integrity and had consistently worked for the nation’s progress, yet he, Manish Sisodia and other leaders were jailed and subjected to immense suffering. Despite the ordeal, she said, the family and party remained confident that truth would prevail, and “today, truth has triumphed.”

Following Friday’s verdict by the Rouse Avenue Court in the Delhi excise policy case, Sunita Kejriwal addressed the media and expressed gratitude after the court’s decision. She said, “First of all, I would like to thank God. No matter how powerful anyone in this world becomes, no one can rise above God’s power.” She also thanked the judge for showing courage in delivering the decision and said, “I also thank the judge who showed such courage.”

Sunita Kejriwal further said, “Arvind Kejriwal has lived his entire life with honesty, and he has only one goal, that this country should progress tremendously.” She added that for years false allegations were levelled against them out of greed for power. “These people, driven by their hunger for power, imposed false accusations on us for so many years and fabricated cases,” she said.

She stated that they were made to suffer and that Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and other AAP leaders were sent to jail and subjected to great hardship. “We were made to suffer. Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and other ‘AAP’ leaders were sent to jail and given immense pain,” she said.

Despite the ordeal, she asserted that their faith remained unshaken. “We had complete faith that God would stand with us and that truth would prevail.”
