Bihar's PACS Common Service Centers Generate Over Rs 4.5 Crore Business, Provide 300+ Rural Services
State achieves 4,316 functional CSCs out of 5,987 PACS with digital IDs as Cooperative Minister hails milestone in rural empowerment and digital inclusion;

The Common Service Centers (CSC) of PACS in the state are making the everyday life of the villagers easier. From students to farmers, everyone is empowering themselves by using it. It is noteworthy that 4,477 PACS have been computerized in the first phase in the state, so far CSC ID has been created for 5,987 PACS in the state, out of which 4,316 PACS are functional, more than 4.5 crore business has been done through Common Service Center (CSC) in PACS.
With the establishment of CSC in PACS, more than 300 services are available to rural farmers locally in their villages. With the establishment of this Common Service Center, villagers are getting the benefit of many services including rail, bus, plane tickets, Ayushman card, e-Shram card, PAN card, Aadhar card. For this, now they do not need to go to the cities.
Cooperative Minister Dr Prem Kumar has expressed happiness over the functioning of Common Service Centres (CSC) in 4,316 PACS of the state. He has said that this is a big achievement for the state. Through these CSC centres, the lives of people in villages are becoming easier and they are getting many types of facilities easily.
On the other hand, the PACS in which CSC centres have not been functional till now will be made functional as soon as possible. To make them functional, Registrar of Cooperative Societies Inayat Khan has recently directed all the cooperative extension officers and the district manager of the Common Service Centre to follow the departmental guidelines with priority. He has said that providing the service of Common Service Centre at the rural level will prove to be a milestone in the rights of the farmers. He has directed the officers that in the PACS in which the CSC ID is in the name of the former PACS President, it should be made in the name of the manager.
