Rain, Dust Storms Lash Rajasthan; IMD Issues Orange Alert in 10 Districts

The weather has taken a turn once again in Rajasthan. Since this morning, intermittent rain has been falling in several districts, including Jaipur, Alwar, and Sawai Madhopur. Dust storms preceded the rain, causing residents to experience a sudden change in weather. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for rain and thunderstorms in 10 districts, while a yellow alert has been declared in 12 districts.

Light drizzle began in Jaipur around 5 am. This was followed by heavy rain for about 10 minutes at 8 am, causing waterlogging on the roads. Meanwhile, drizzle has continued in Alwar and Sawai Madhopur districts since morning.

Fear of Crop Damage

The second snowfall in five days has increased farmers' concerns. There are fears of damage to standing crops. However, the rain has brought some relief to people from the harsh winter in the state.

Cloudy weather changed on Monday

Cloudy skies covered many districts of Bikaner, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions on Monday afternoon. The clouds weakened the cold winds, making the day less cold. Consequently, the maximum temperature also increased. On Monday, the highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 27.5 degrees Celsius in Pali.

Dense Fog on January 28-29

Radheshyam Sharma, Director of the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, stated that dense fog is expected in many districts of the state on January 28 and 29. During this period, cold winds may also blow in many areas, increasing the cold during the morning and night hours.

A new system will become active again from January 31

According to the Meteorological Department, a new Western Disturbance will become active from January 31. Due to this, the state may experience cloudy skies and light rain in some areas on January 31 and February 1. In such a situation, the weather will remain changed in the end of January and beginning of February.
