Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has presented a budget focused on the poor, youth, farmers and women, which has been named GYAN (Garib, Youth, Annadata and Nari Shakti). The government's focus in this budget is on these sections. If we talk only about Nari Shakti, then the government has announced many schemes for them, the most important of which is Poshan 2.0.

What is Poshan 2.0, which was announced in the budget?

For the development of any country, it is most important that the women there are strong and economically empowered. For this, the Modi government is constantly making efforts. The central government runs the Poshan Yojana to improve the health of women and provide them with nutrition during pregnancy.

To eradicate malnutrition from the country, PM Modi started the Poshan Yojana on 8 March 2018. The objective of which is to provide nutrition to women and children. For this, the central government is strengthening the Anganwadi centers. In this budget too, the finance minister has advocated for making capable Anganwadis, so that women can get better health facilities and nutrition.

Women and children of 0-6 years get nutrition in Anganwadi

The central government provides supplementary nutrition to pregnant women and children of 0-6 years through Anganwadi centers. Children are given nutrition every day from here. They are also vaccinated. Teenagers and adolescents are given food with 150 grams of calories. Along with this, protein-rich diet which includes things like soybean, egg. A nutritious drink is also provided.

Other facilities will be available in Poshan 2.0

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced the launch of Poshan 2.0. Certainly, pregnant women and children will get other facilities here in the second innings of nutrition. There is also a provision to provide nutrition to lactating women (women who are breastfeeding) in Saksham Anganwadi. It is expected that Poshan 2.0 will be very special and malnutrition will also end in the country. Women in the country who are seriously suffering from diseases like anemia will also get better health facilities through Anganwadi. Along with this, to make Anganwadi centers strong, the government is also requesting to adopt them and the necessary conditions for this are also available on the website of the Social Welfare Department.
