The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya witnessed a historic moment today. President Draupadi Murmu arrived in Ayodhya on Thursday as part of her three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh. Here, she not only visited Ram Lalla, but also installed and worshipped the 'Shri Ram Yantra' on the second floor of the temple during the Abhijit Muhurta, following all the rituals and chanting Vedic mantras. This is the President's second visit to Ayodhya after the consecration of Ram Lalla, and it was a very special and spiritually charged experience.

President Murmu arrived at the Ayodhya airport from Delhi at around 10:30 am, where she was given a grand welcome by Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The route from the airport to the Ram Janmabhoomi complex was decorated like a bride. Approximately 250 artists welcomed the President with folk dances and music at more than 20 cultural platforms along the route. Ayodhya Mayor Mahant Girish Pati Tripathi presented the President with the "Key to the City."

The "Shri Ram Yantra," installed on the second floor of the temple, is a topic of special discussion.

Making: This Yantra was crafted at a monastery in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, and weighs approximately 150 kg. It is coated in pure gold.

Religious Significance: According to Astrologer Raghunath Das Shastri, it is a special Vedic geometric structure, in which the divine energy of Lord Ram and other deities has been established through mantras. It is considered highly auspicious and a symbol of spiritual power.

After the puja, the President toured the temple complex and visited the idols of Goddess Annapurna and Goddess Durga, built within the fort. During this visit, she honored a select group of artisans who worked day and night on the temple's construction. The President also visited the Saptarishi temples from the Ramayana period, from where she delivered a message of social harmony. She also participated in the "Midday Aarti" (midday aarti) held at 12 noon and performed the aarti of Ram Lalla.

After a five-hour stay in Ayodhya, the President departed for Mathura at 3 pm. In Mathura, she will visit and worship at the ISKCON Temple and Prem Mandir. The most important part of her visit will be on Friday, March 20, when she will meet Saint Premanand Maharaj. For security reasons, the police administration in Mathura and Vrindavan is on full alert.
