In a rare and inspiring achievement, three women from the same family in Amritsar -- a mother, daughter, and mother-in-law -- won top honours in different categories at the UMB Elite Mrs India 2025 pageant, setting a new benchmark for family participation and women's empowerment.

The winners, Sehaj Om Prakash, crowned Mrs India 2025; Geetanjali Om Prakash, who secured the First Runner-Up title; and Monika Uppal, recipient of the Director's Choice Award, returned to Amritsar to a warm welcome.

The trio later addressed a press conference, sharing their journey and experiences from the national competition.

Speaking to the media, winner Sehaj Om Prakash said the pageant involved multiple evaluation rounds, including performance-based tasks and a question-and-answer session in the finale.

She described it as a matter of pride that both her mother and mother-in-law participated alongside her on the same platform, calling the experience deeply motivating.

Sehaj said the UMB Mrs India platform helped her discover greater self-confidence, a stronger identity, and the courage to pursue new goals. She credited her success to the constant encouragement of her family and the opportunities provided by the organisers.

First Runner-Up Geetanjali Om Prakash highlighted that the joint participation of her daughter-in-law and her mother was widely appreciated during the event.

She noted that many women tend to lose confidence with age, but the professional training and mentoring offered during the competition helped her overcome self-doubt. She said she now feels more empowered than ever before.

Director's Choice Award winner Monika Uppal said the recognition was the result of sustained hard work and determination.

She encouraged women, especially young girls, to chase their ambitions and emphasised the importance of mutual respect and understanding in family relationships, particularly between mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law.

The achievement of the three women has been hailed as an example of unity, confidence, and empowerment, reflecting how family support can play a crucial role in breaking social barriers and redefining success.
