The song “Oo Antava” from Pushpa: The Rise took everyone by storm when it dropped. Sung by Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) and featuring the charismatic Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Allu Arjun, it quickly became a fan favorite. At a recent event, DSP opened up about how proud he is of the song — but also revealed that it’s been copied by another artist without permission.
Talking to fans and the media, DSP said, “You all loved ‘Oo Antava.’ I actually created it in just five minutes in my studio. It’s been played everywhere, and now an English singer has copied it.”
He went on to say, “I’m thinking about taking legal action, but honestly, it’s kind of flattering that our Telugu song has been copied.”
Though he didn’t name the artist, many fans believe he’s talking about a Turkish song called “Anlayana” by Atiye, which came out last year. Fans have been quick to point out how similar the two tracks sound.
“Oo Antava” was one of the biggest highlights of Pushpa: The Rise, earning Samantha lots of praise for her bold and stunning performance.
