General Administration Department Earns ISO 9001:2015 Certification, Certificate Presented to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar

The Chief Minister was presented with the certificate of the international quality standard ISO 9001:2015.

Representatives of Indian Register Quality Systems presented the ISO 9001:2015 certification to Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar at ‘Sankalp’, located at 1 Anne Marg, in recognition of departmental reforms and innovations carried out by the General Administration Department.

The Chief Minister has been the head of the General Administration Department since 2005.

It is noteworthy that the General Administration Department of the Government of Bihar has been awarded the international quality standard ISO 9001:2015 certification. The certification was granted by Indian Register Quality Systems on January 12, 2026, and will remain valid until 2029. Over the past three years, the department has made sustained efforts to obtain the ISO 9001:2015 certification by prioritizing workplace renovation, systematic organization, comprehensive reforms in departmental functioning, transparency, and innovation.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Shri Deepak Kumar; Additional Chief Secretary of the General Administration Department Dr. B. Rajender; the Chief Minister’s Secretary Shri Anupam Kumar; the Chief Minister’s Secretary Shri Kumar Ravi; Secretary of the General Administration Department Mohammad Sohail; the Chief Minister’s Secretary Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh; Special Secretary of the General Administration Department Shri Sanjay Kumar; Deputy General Manager of Indian Register Quality Systems Shri Tarun Swaroop; Shri Aftab Alam; and other officials of the General Administration Department were present.
