RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Calls for ‘Ghar Wapsi’, Advocates ‘Triple D’ Policy at Lucknow Meet
At key gathering in Lucknow, Mohan Bhagwat stresses social unity, demographic balance and firm action on infiltration.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat was in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday. In a special meeting, he shared several thoughts on the current state of Hindu society, future challenges, and social unity.
Mohan Bhagwat made an important and vehement call for a "ghar wapsi" campaign. He stressed that society must accept with full respect those who had left Hinduism for some reason and now wish to return.
The "Triple D" Formula on Infiltration: Detect, Delete, and Deport
Expressing deep concern over the increasing infiltration, the RSS chief took a firm stance. He said that a "Triple D" policy must be adopted to identify infiltrators who pose a threat to the country's security and resources—detection (deleting them from the list), and deportation (expelling them from the country). He also appealed to society not to employ any outsider or illegal person, so as to weaken their roots.
Demographic Balance: 'Have at Least Three Children'
Mohan Bhagwat, while speaking on Hindu family structure and population, made a significant suggestion. He stated that Hindus should have at least three children to maintain demographic balance. According to him, family expansion is essential for the vitality and survival of society.
He also criticized the discrimination prevalent in society, saying that there was once no discrimination among us, but with the passage of time, discrimination has become a habit, which must now be eradicated.
A Confluence of Various Sects and Missions
The highlight of this important meeting in Lucknow was that it was attended not only by RSS officials but also by representatives from various sects and branches of Hinduism. The Sikh, Buddhist, and Jain communities, along with organizations like the Ramakrishna Mission, ISKCON, Jai Gurudev, Shiv Shanti Ashram, and the Art of Living, were present on this platform.
Apart from this, representatives from different sections including Sant Nirankari Ashram, Sant Kripal Ashram, Kabir Mission, Goraksh Peeth, Arya Samaj, Sant Ravidas Peeth, Divyanand Ashram and Brahma Vidya Niketan participated, which is being considered a big step towards social harmony.
