Additional Chief Secretary K. Senthil Kumar on Wednesday chaired a high-level meeting with district administration officials to ensure smooth and uninterrupted LPG supply in Nawada, a district under his charge.

The meeting was attended by key officials, including the District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, District Supply Officer, District Transport Officer, along with representatives from gas agencies and oil companies.

During the review, Kumar directed officials to ensure the timely distribution of LPG cylinders to consumers across the district. He also instructed that magistrates be deputed at all gas agencies to maintain transparency and prevent any irregularities in distribution.

Emphasising strict enforcement, the Additional Chief Secretary ordered strong action against individuals involved in black marketing of LPG. He also reviewed key aspects such as current gas availability, backlog in supply, functioning of the control room, total number of connections, number of distributors, and supply to welfare initiatives such as “Didi Ki Rasoi” and government hostels.

Kumar further directed officials to take action against those spreading false rumours related to gas supply, stating that misinformation could disrupt the distribution system. He stressed the need for constant monitoring to ensure that consumers do not face any inconvenience in accessing LPG.

The meeting underscored the administration’s focus on ensuring transparency, accountability and uninterrupted supply of essential commodities in the district.
